Headache

Conversation with our oldest today at lunch.

1K "Dad, good news I didn't wake up with a headache this morning."
Dad "That's good.  I'm glad to hear it."
1K "So....what do I get?"
Dad "Um, a good day without a headache."
1K "Uh, what do I get?"
Dad "What do you mean what do you get?"
1K "Like a reward or something."
Dad "A reward????"

Game Day (celebrating the Chief's clinching the division title)

So we got this new present for Christmas.  We haven't joined the wave quite yet and purchased a Wii.  If we end up ever getting one it will probably be when its on the clearance rack at Dollar General.  But, this game is an interactive sports game with several options from Football to Golf.  Below are pictures of our 4 oldest as well as "mom" playing.

5K - out of the line of fire.  You can see 1K in the background.  This game is DANGEROUS.

"Dad" got bored and needed to run off some of his energy.  So, he pulled the kids across the house on a blanket.  Man, legs are SORE now - not really.

MUST SEE

We received this movie for Christmas.  It is an amazing portrayal of the very 1st Christmas and the months prior to the birth of Jesus.  We just got done watching it as a family.  Must see for everyone.

Present

So, one present that really stood out among the rest from Grammy and Pepa was this book.

The sad thing is that the book wasn't given to one of the kids.  It was given to me (Dad).  What is the point of this? :)

Mysterious Spot

During breakfast today 3K pointed at the wall and said, "Dad look at that."
Apparently, we had some spaghetti sauce splattered on our wall from the other day.  It's not the strange appearance of the sauce that got our attention, it was the location of the spot.  It was right next to our ceiling.  "How did that get there?,"  I inquired.  Well, we heard several stories.  Most of which were from 2K.  Not one, I think was truly the correct one.  But 1K decided to go as far as pull 2 spoons out of the drawer and reenact the "proposed" scenario.  He waded up a couple balls of aluminum foil and proceeded to catapult them in the air to see if he could reach the same mark.  No luck.  Hmmm this is still an unsolved mystery and sadly the spot is still there.

Christmas Eve Service with the kids

Tonight, we attended our church's Christmas Eve Service.  1K, 2K, 3K, and 5K were with us.  4K stayed in a room apart from us.  We brought along notebooks for the kids to draw in to keep them occupied.
This picture is from 1K.  It is broken up in the different segments from the program tonight.  This is SO cool.

2K drew a picture of baby JESUS in the manger on the 1st Christmas Day.  He even include the star that the shepherds followed to find JESUS

And another one from 2K. I don't know what this is.  I think its some sort of crab?  Don't know where in the service that came from.  Ha Ha imagination at its best.

Bed Time

Our oldest (1K) has been wanting to stay up longer with us lately.  It's nearing the 10 o'clock hour and he was finding any excuse to stay awake.  Finally, I told him that at his age he needs to get a minimum of 10 hours of sleep a day.  That means he won't be able to get out of his bed until 8 tomorrow morning.  If he wanted to stay up til 11 he can't get out until 9 o'clock in the morning.  "Now, do you want to stay up late or go to bed," I asked.  "I want to go asleep," he replied.  Mission Accomplished.

Scissors

So "2K" is at that age where he enjoys Arts & Crafts.  So much so, that he has taken it on himself to practice his cutting skills.  First, with the baby doll's hair, next with our shower curtain (of all places?), and now with "3K's" hair.  Well, at least he's not trying to use the glue to put it all back together
