Hair Cuts....

I kind of fought the hair cut for 5K. Look how big and handsome he looks.

I'm NOT a perfect mom.....

We have having listening and yelling problems at our house - Listening from the kids, Yelling from me.....


My prayer is that my kids will know GOD! Who he REALLY is! My prayer is that I don't mess them up. Still, I mess up. I yell. I want to get my point across. I want them to do it the first time. . 


Yesterday, before church *sigh* I was repeating myself over and over again.... I yelled. Then I got in the shower. After all, we were going to be late for church *sigh, again*. 


The kids and my husband met me in the car and I was "forced" to sit in the passenger seat instead of drive. While I was in the shower, The kids and my husband made a card for me. 1K excitedly handed me the surprise card. It said " I'm sorry mom. I love you mom."  and they signed their names. 


I put my sun glasses on and cried.... I felt like a failure. They apologized to me! I am the adult!  The bigger person.... I gained composer and said I was sorry. I shouldn't of yelled. That's not the way to handle the situation.  I felt petty. 



A few weeks ago I read a article with this quote in it..

It really hit me! It does every time I read it.


Then, On another blog I saw this video, The Invisible Woman. It seemed to echo that quote. 


Thank you, God! Thank you for giving me children. Thank you for reminding me to get over myself and my pride. Thank you for the things no one else sees. Thank you for my treasures and my gifts you have trusted in me.

2K lost his first tooth

1K and 2K came busting out of their room tonight, "(2K), is about to lose his tooth!"  It's been wiggling for a LONG time and tonight was the night.  Mom wanted to pull it out but it hurt enough with him pulling by himself.  So, we had him bite out of an apple.  That seemed to do the trick.

58th Birthday

  Yesterday we went to Dad's uncle's BDay party.  Here are some of the highlights.  

This is a moment in the car as we were driving to the party.  3K, 4K, and 5K were sleeping (as 3K tried hard to get comfortable) and 1K and 2K were reading books.

The kids played a game called "toilet" tag with our cousins.  I guess when you got caught, you had to sit down on the ground and put your hand in the air.  Someone else had to come up and flush you (by pressing your hand down) and then you were free.  Thank you VBS for this game it was HA-larious.

4K is telling dad, "I'm over here."  But instead of saying dad she kept calling him by his first name.

4K showed love to all of the aunts plus more (some pictures not included).

5K got tired of getting held so we laid down a blanket.  Yeah, that lasted about as long as it took for us to take a picture.

 Last night, The kids found some unused plastic cups from the birthday party .  

3K decided they would make perfect Cinderella Glass Slippers.

Capturing Creativity: Hammock

At night before I go to bed I do my nightly room rotation and check on all the kids. I make sure they are still breathing and still there.  Maybe, I'm the only crazy worried mom out there who does this. When I walked into the boys room this is what I found. 2K made a hammock out of his sheet and was sleeping in it.

It's our Anniversary! Lets travel back, way back into time....

You were thinking wedding weren't you? No, Today Dustin and I have been dating for 10 years. I hope we never stop dating. So, Happy Anniversary, Babe! Your more then I could of ever dreamed of!

This Is us when we were dating for about 6 months. I was 16 when we started dating and he was 18.  Things moved Really fast. I was pregnant in this picture and didn't know it yet.

Here we are on Easter. Man, we are getting old! (Not to mention all the additional fam. we added since the last picture.) Time as flown by. Your more handsome then ever! Here's to many, many more!

Afternoon fun with 2K

This afternoon I (Dad again) went out with 2K.  For awhile he has been asking for tie.  Well, this birthday he received one.  So, I told him to wear his and I would wear one as well, (just to show him how cool his fashion sense is).  Oh, and it was a little bright out today.

So for our time together, we went to most of the same places as 3K.  Mainly, because of free frozen custard and tokens.  Can't beat that. First, we went out for the frozen custard but to another location.

Then, we went to Walmart.  Yeah that's right.  Another gift that he got for his birthday was a gift card that he redeemed today with 2 cents to spare.

Next we went to my niece's again to give thanks for the gifts she gave him and then off to CEC.  

Lastly, before we came home we stopped for some sour candy to share between just him and I.  Really just him because I don't like candy much but he sure does.

Date night with 3K

Tonight myself (Dad) and 3K went out on a date night.  This was the first time that we have ever had a date together.  Actually, the first one ever with any of our kids.  We decided to start now because its the beginning of 5 months worth of birthdays, (July - 3K, August - 2K, September - 5K, October - 4K and November - 1K). Once the first of the year rolls around we will just start over in this order.

So here's how the night rolled out....First, we went to Culver's for some food and frozen custard

Next, we went out for some tea time.  But, the tea shop was closed so we went across the street and down the block to Mo Java.  I think I had too much "mo java" though.  She had fun.  This part was her dream date.

Then, we stopped by my niece's house for a surprise gift

Lastly, we went to Chuck E Cheese's and redeemed 20 free tokens for her Birthday.  It's amazing how much time you can spend there with just one person using a token at a time.

Capturing Creativity: Hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk.

It has been hot here! One day I made the comment "It's so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk" Well, 1K took that as a challenge. He made a data sheet and recorded how long it took for the egg to fry. It didn't take long. It was HOT!

Weekend at the Beach....Ok, It's a Lake.

The whole family on my husband's side went camping this weekend. We had a great time at the beach swimming. Dad was a little apprehensive about getting in the water, You can't see through it (at all)! He didn't know what we were swimming in but we did find a dead fish on shore.

We Just celebrated 2 birthdays at our house. They're not twins... They are almost exactly 2 years apart.

4TH of July Weekend

  We had a lot more photos but sadly some got deleted. 

Our fun and eventful weekend.

 Saturday, We went to a great birthday party where we saw Cars 2. Then, Saturday night our neighborhood had a great block party with large fireworks.

  Sunday, Church and our wonderful Church Group. 

Monday, The 4Th, our family lit fireworks, our annual water balloon fight and Dustin helped finish a deck project at his parents house.
