I ran across this article "The No Baby Boom" today. It struck a cord with me.
http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/parenting/the-no-baby-boom-2503225/We have 5 children and we did take the vasectomy route. I have a lot of mixed emotions about it.
- We didn't do it because of money.
- We thought I needed to be there for my kids in life threatening problems.
- Did we trust too much in the doctors and not in GOD?
- I will never hold another one of "my" babies again.
- Our 5th one is our last.
- Adoption is an option but, are we willing? Only 1% of infants/crisis pregnancies result in adoption. People say "adoption" all the time and never adopt!
- Was this really GOD's plan? Did I interrupt it?
- Population is decreasing.
- Less Christians are having babies but other religions are moving into countries and populating it resulting in spreading their "gospel".
- I do enjoy time with my husband alone, (which is easier when they are not babies).
- I do not have "the worry" of getting pregnant......(sad to say, I'm just being honest).
- We do have a tight budget but GOD always provided.
Just being real..
